Jiang Ling and Mu Yinyin did not speak, simply looking at the man before them.

Qi Mo smiled and began, "I had some idle time, and since there is a restaurant nearby with excellent food, I overate a bit and came out for a stroll to digest. I didn't expect to run into you two here."

The only reason he knew of Jiang Ling was because of Mu Yinyin.

Although his words were polite, there was not a hint of a smile on his face. He looked at the man before him, his eyes filled with scrutiny. Clearly, he was very wary of this Qi Mo. Mu Yinyin offered an occasional response, and gradually, Jiang Ling’s impression of Qi Mo seemed to improve slightly. While the man came across as narcissistic and potentially dangerous, interacting with him was actually quite comfortable. He did not overtly show how much he valued or liked Mu Yinyin; instead, he acted as if they were just friends, which made the dynamic much easier to handle.

After walking for over half an hour, they circled back to the hotel where Mu Yinyin and Jiang Ling were staying. Mu Yinyin glanced at Qi Mo and said calmly, "Young Master Qi, it’s getting late, and we need to go back and rest."

Qi Mo raised an eyebrow. "Alright, let’s go together."

With that, he headed toward the hotel entrance.

Mu Yinyin: "?"

Jiang Ling narrowed his eyes slightly but remained silent.

Qi Mo looked at the two of them and said casually, "It’s late, and I don’t want to go through the trouble of finding another place. I’ll just stay here for tonight. Why are you both looking at me like that?"

Mu Yinyin curled her lips. "Nothing, just a bit surprised for a moment."

Jiang Ling said nothing and followed Mu Yinyin’s lead.

Qi Mo smiled enigmatically. "No need to be suspicious. If I were to say the same thing a third time, it might start to sound insincere."

After Mu Yinyin returned to her room and finished her shower, it was already past ten o'clock. She climbed into bed with her phone and saw two missed calls and several WeChat messages from Gu Xiaoqi.
