Chapter 29: At Worst, I’ll Just Take the Loss and Let You Have Half the Bed
Compared to weapons, Xiang Nan was far more interested in spirit pearls. If he wanted his cultivation level to rise faster, he would have to rely on the power of spirit pearls.
“Uncle Xu, as the young lord, does that mean spirit pearls are unlimited as well?” Xiang Nan didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.
Though he now held the title of young lord, he had no real authority; everything depended on Xu Qingshan and the other stewards.
“Spirit pearls?” Xu Qingshan was surprised. “The last time Xiaoya gave you some pearls, have you already refined them all?”
A cultivator of the first stage would need at least a month to refine a single spirit pearl. Xiaoya gave you three, and it’s only been a few days—now you want more?
Spirit pearls were rare treasures, strictly regulated by the state; even if you had money, you couldn’t buy them. The Eagle Alliance acquired its pearls mainly through missions or hunting monsters—resources were limited.
Xiang Nan didn’t hide anything. “Yes, I’ve already refined them.”
Xu Qingshan’s jaw dropped, stunned for two seconds before he recovered. “That fast? Tell me, what’s your current cultivation star level?”
He still remembered the dazzling moments on the arena. His curiosity was impossible to suppress.
Xiang Nan replied, “First stage, eight stars.”
A sharp intake of breath. “I recall you were only at the first stage, one star after your bloodline awakening. You’ve advanced this quickly?”
It had only been a few days!
Even the stock market never surged this fast. But Xiang Nan’s performance on the arena was undeniable—his ascension to young lord was well-deserved.
“Excellent! Very good! Go back for now. I’ll have someone deliver the spirit pearls to you as soon as possible.”
Xu Qingshan smiled as he saw Xiang Nan off, his heart still churning with shock.
This was truly an encounter with the chosen one! With such rapid cultivation, there wasn’t likely another person like him in all of the Nine Provinces.
Back when Su Mingzhe had his genius daughter, Su Yao, she dominated the Eagle Alliance—after that, she only looked down on others.
Now, he had found someone even more extraordinary. It seemed the Xu family was finally about to rise!
No matter how hard it was to obtain spirit pearls, he would get them for Xiang Nan!
With Xiang Nan here, perhaps the Eagle Alliance could return to its glorious era.
Thinking this, Xu Qingshan was so excited he rubbed his hands together nonstop.
“Xiaoya, you truly are my lucky star!”
…
By the time Xiang Nan returned to the villa after bidding Xu Qingshan farewell, it was already eleven at night.
The villa was brilliantly lit.
Stepping inside, Xiang Nan thought he’d entered the wrong house.
The living room was filled with luggage, clothes, dresses, high heels, and even several conspicuous pairs of intimate lace and leopard-print underwear.
It looked as if he’d wandered into a high-end women’s boutique.
On the floor, two girls were rolling around together.
“You left without a word, abandoned me all alone—I’ll never forgive you!”
“I’m back now, aren’t I? Look, I brought gifts for you—all your favorites!”
“Hmph! I don’t want them, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t!”
“Alright, I know you’ve already forgiven me. Don’t be so shy. I was wrong, isn’t that enough?”
“Hmph! You have to make it up to me!”
“I will! I must! So I’ve decided—from now on, I’ll live with you!”
Xiang Nan: ???
He cleared his throat, searching for a sense of presence.
But the two girls didn’t even notice him.
“Really? You won’t leave again, right?”
“How could I leave? Of course I’ll stay with my precious darling!”
“That’s better! Alright, I suppose I’ll reluctantly forgive you.”
“Thank you, darling! Come on, give me a kiss!”
“Ay! Your saliva!”
Xiang Nan, left out on the sidelines, was exasperated.
He was being treated as invisible.
Fortunately, both girls were beautiful—the scene was at least pleasing to the eye.
“Ahem, well… maybe you should take this to a bedroom? There’s still someone breathing here.”
Xiang Nan flopped onto the sofa, rolling his eyes in protest.
Being invisible wasn’t his thing!
The two girls scrambled up.
Xu Jiya ran over and hugged Xiang Nan tightly.
“Brother Xiang Nan, you were amazing today!”
With Su Yao’s arrival, Xu Jiya had become far more lively, no longer as shy as before.
She threw herself into his arms, fragrant and soft, and Xiang Nan welcomed it, his mischievous hand resting on her slender waist.
But Su Yao, hands on her hips, pounced fiercely.
“Let go of our Xiaoya, let me have him!”
With her leap, all three tumbled onto the rug, rolling together.
Xiang Nan ended up at the bottom, repeatedly pressed upon, nearly suffocated with happiness.
His hands didn’t know where to go; Su Yao, dressed in a midriff-baring outfit, felt wonderful to the touch wherever he reached.
After some playful wrestling, Su Yao suddenly sat up, her expression shifting. “Xiaoya, did you say he lives here too?”
Xu Jiya blushed and nodded demurely.
Su Yao’s sharp gaze instantly locked onto Xiang Nan.
Xiang Nan shivered involuntarily, sensing trouble.
Sure enough, the next moment—
Su Yao dashed upstairs in a flash, heading straight for Xiang Nan’s room.
What the heck! She was trying to take over his territory!
How could he let that happen?
Without hesitation, Xiang Nan chased after her.
Su Yao sprawled across his two-meter-wide bed as soon as she entered, claiming it as her own.
“From today on, this room is mine!”
“No way! You stray cat, you’re not taking over my nest!”
Xiang Nan burst in and leapt onto the bed, determined to defend his turf.
But Su Yao, seeing him approach, didn’t dodge. Instead, she lay flat in the center of the bed.
Unable to stop himself, Xiang Nan landed directly on top of her.
“Aaargh!” Su Yao groaned, crushed beneath him.
Luckily, the bed was soft, absorbing the impact and bouncing their bodies up and down.
He had to admit, Su Yao’s figure was incredible—soft and comfortable, pure bliss.
“Get off!” Su Yao shouted, her body still spread out and occupying the bed.
“I won’t! This is my bed!” Xiang Nan covered her completely, refusing to budge.
Let her try if she wanted—at worst, they’d sleep together! He certainly wouldn’t lose out!
Xiang Nan relaxed, even burying his face in her neck.
He inhaled, filling his nose with her delicate scent.
His breath brushed her earlobe.
“Hey, hey, hey! Don’t take advantage of me!” Su Yao warned through gritted teeth, but still didn’t move.
This little wildcat was truly stubborn!
“Who’s taking advantage of who? Oh, and you bit me earlier—I have to bite you back!”
With that, Xiang Nan pretended to move toward her neck.
“Don’t you dare!”
Su Yao finally couldn’t stand it. She shoved Xiang Nan away, rolled over, and pinned him beneath her.
“You won unfairly today—let’s fight again!”
Xiang Nan gave up struggling. “Why bother? If you like being on top, I’ll let you crush me all you want. If you like my room, I guess I’ll have to suffer and let you sleep on half the bed.”
