"I have satellite tracking—I know exactly where you are right now."

At this, Yang Hao and Yao Cheng exchanged a helpless glance, then smiled wryly. Their every movement was perfectly in sync, as if they had rehearsed it.

"Are you even listening to me? Let me tell you, my phone has satellite tracking, so don’t even think about keeping it for yourself. An iPhone X! I bet you’ve never even seen one of these in your life, you pauper. I advise you not to get any funny ideas. Listen up, I’m with the Student Council. If you dare to hack my phone, I’ll make sure you can’t stay in this school anymore..." The voice on the other end grew increasingly threatening, grating on their nerves.

Yang Hao ignored him, hung up, and then forced the phone to shut down.

"Satellite tracking? That guy’s really something!" Yao Cheng couldn’t help but laugh at Yang Hao’s action.

"Here, your lady," Yang Hao said with a sidelong glance, shoving the phone into Yao Cheng’s hand.

A moment ago, this fellow had been hoping for a beautiful encounter, but instead, he’d been completely shown up by some arrogant stranger.

Satellite tracking? Student Council? Make us unable to stay in this school? Yang Hao was speechless. What kind of person talks like that? Demanding your phone back in such a high-and-mighty tone. Some people, if they heard that call, wouldn’t just refuse to return the phone—they’d smash it, toss it, or at the very least, trade it for a ten-yuan washbasin at the roadside. Why not, after all?

People these days—Yang Hao no longer even knew how to comment.

He had originally intended to turn the phone in to campus security, but the caller’s words changed his mind.

Why should he? The guy called, didn’t even try to be polite, and went straight to threats.

Who did he think he was? Student Council? Never mind that Yang Hao and Yao Cheng had already graduated—even if they hadn’t, the Student Council couldn’t do anything to them.

"Why don’t we just toss the phone by the roadside and let whoever wants it pick it up? He says he has satellite tracking, so let him track it all he wants," suggested Yao Cheng, catching on to Yang Hao’s train of thought as soon as he saw his expression. Four years together had built a certain unspoken understanding between them.

They weren’t the kind to take advantage of others, and they were happy to do good deeds when they could. But that didn’t mean they were going to be doormats. If someone stepped on their faces and they still rushed over to help, wouldn’t that just make them pathetic?

There are different kinds of being pathetic. Sometimes it disgusts yourself, sometimes others, and sometimes it’s to please someone you love. There are many definitions.

The time, the place, the specific situation—all these things call for a different understanding of what it means to debase oneself. Yao Cheng’s proposal was one form: not self-deprecation, but a way to get back at someone else.

Yang Hao had also considered that idea, but in the end, he shook his head—not because it was too harsh, but because it was too easy on the other party. Besides, another good-hearted person might be troubled by it later. As someone who always considered others, Yang Hao felt he should be careful.

Seeing him shake his head, Yao Cheng grinned and suggested again, "Or we could just throw it in the river. Since the guy has satellite tracking, let him fish it out himself."

Even more ruthless. Even if the phone really could be tracked, after soaking in water that long, it would be nothing but scrap.

Yang Hao’s eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Isn’t the boss still on the way? Ask him to pick something up for me."

When Yao Cheng realized what Yang Hao wanted Zhang Tian to buy, his eyes gleamed and a mischievous grin spread across his face. He looked at Yang Hao with fresh admiration. When it came to pranks, the youngest in the dorm always took the lead.

A short time later, at their agreed meeting spot, Zhang Tian arrived in his car—the same seven-seater Range Rover as before. As soon as the car pulled up, all eyes were drawn to it, especially those of the girls. When Zhang Tian stepped out, several nearly forgot to keep walking.

It had to be said, at that moment Zhang Tian truly had a certain charm. Good-looking, a budding entrepreneur, wealthy and stylish—he was the white knight in many hearts, especially those young women who still dreamed about their futures.

Noticing the admiring glances, Zhang Tian couldn’t help feeling a little smug. He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses in a practiced, casual gesture that nearly made a few girls squeal.

What a show-off! Yang Hao and Yao Cheng, watching from the side, wanted to gag. They both extended their middle fingers, offering a salute of the highest order.

Of all of them, Zhang Tian was easily the most flamboyant. Those gold-rimmed glasses—he must have picked them out specifically for today. Yang Hao grumbled to himself. They all knew Zhang Tian didn’t need glasses; he wore them just to look more mature. But this flashy pair was a first.

At that moment, Zhang Tian hadn’t noticed Yang Hao and Yao Cheng. Instead, he spotted a graceful young woman who smiled at him, and his heart leapt as he prepared to approach her.

Seeing this, Yang Hao and Yao Cheng exchanged a silent look, then crept up behind him.

"Who the hell just grabbed me?" Zhang Tian shouted as he was yanked back by a sudden force, ready to curse out his attacker.

"I knew it was you two troublemakers!" He burst out laughing when he saw Yang Hao and Yao Cheng.

The three, reunited after a long time, pulled each other into a tight embrace.

It had been too long.

That was what they all felt at that moment.

After a while, the three calmed down and smiled at each other with a warmth they hadn’t felt in ages.

"Did you bring what I asked for?" Yang Hao gave Zhang Tian a friendly punch.

"Yeah, I got it," Zhang Tian replied, though puzzled. "But what did you want it for? I was almost here already and had to make a huge detour for this."

Yao Cheng grinned wickedly and whispered the whole story in his ear.

When Zhang Tian understood, he was speechless. "There are still people like that?"

"There are all kinds," Yang Hao replied, giving him a meaningful look.

With that, Yang Hao retrieved a large bunch of helium balloons from Zhang Tian’s car, then tied the iPhone X to the balloons. When he let go, the phone floated up with them.

Watching Yang Hao’s actions, Zhang Tian and Yao Cheng nearly burst out laughing.

Yang Hao laughed too. He’d wanted to do a good deed, but after that phone call, with all the insults and threats, he couldn’t help himself.

What can I say? That’s just how I am!

With a flick of his hand, the phone could drift wherever it pleased. Satellite tracking? Go ahead.

No matter how bad your temper, learn to speak properly.

"Look, balloons!"

"Who let those go? Is someone proposing?"

"Hey, there’s something tied underneath."

"Whoa, it’s a phone—an iPhone X!"

"Who’s so rich they don’t even want their iPhone X?"

As the voices buzzed around them, Yang Hao, Zhang Tian, and Yao Cheng exchanged mischievous smiles.

If that guy knew what Yang Hao had just done, he’d probably want to kill him.

But Yang Hao no longer cared.

Watching the helium balloons and the phone drift off into the sky, Yang Hao just wanted to shout:

Go on, chase your dreams!
