Yi Tian stood in the distance, his mastery of the Feather Flight technique so profound that his speed was ghostly, untouchable by the massive stones launched like cannonballs. None could graze him.

He did not intervene.

The other members of the Samsara Squad scrambled to dodge the stone blasts from the Armored Bear. Though their own Feather Flight techniques were well-practiced and swift, they could not outrun the barrage. For a moment, Yi Feng and his companions were forced into defense.

Only sporadic arrows occasionally flew toward the Armored Bear, lodging in its body and staining its fur crimson. Yet, for a beast with such formidable defenses, the arrows merely pierced its rocky armor, barely penetrating its flesh, never striking a vital spot.

For a monster with vitality as overwhelming as this, these wounds barely diminished its strength.

It must be noted that Yi Feng and his comrades were on the cusp of breaking into the seventh rank, cultivating lower-grade Earth-class techniques. Their battle prowess rivaled that of seventh-rank warriors from former tribes. Their Divine Arrow Arts could pierce lesser beasts outright, grinding them down over time, and a well-placed shot would end a fight swiftly.

This alone testified to the Armored Bear’s formidable defense; even against the combined might of the five members of the Samsara Squad, it held the upper hand.

Yi Tian observed that Yi Shan and the others could achieve little further; soon their internal energy would be spent, yet the Armored Bear would remain vigorous.

Each use of the Divine Arrow Arts consumed tremendous energy.

Moreover, their stock of armor-piercing arrows would soon be depleted on this beast, which would hamper their future endeavors and severely weaken their strength.

At that moment, Yi Tian drew from his storage pouch a grand bow, its surface carved with intricate patterns, radiating an ancient and majestic aura.

With the supreme spiritual bow, Dragon Roar, in hand, Yi Tian felt a surge of heroic pride.

He nocked a Demon-Breaking Arrow, and with his monstrous strength—over twenty thousand pounds—drew the Dragon Roar bowstring. This force rivaled the explosive power of Yi Shan and the others when employing the Wave Stacking secret technique, further proving the might of his physique.

Even so, Yi Tian managed to draw the Dragon Roar only a third of the way.

But that was enough.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion echoed, and a black bolt like lightning tore through the air, suddenly appearing before the Armored Bear. Its rugged armor split like silk, pierced effortlessly by the arrow.

With a sharp hiss, the arrow burst through the back of the bear’s skull, smashing ancient trees in its path, carving a long road, finally embedding deep into a massive stone.

When the Armored Bear finally collapsed, Yi Feng, Yi Kuang, and the others ceased their assault.

They were left stunned by Yi Tian’s lethal shot. His strength was overwhelming, leaving them without hope of catching up—a true prodigy.

Of course, in the slaying of the Armored Bear, the Dragon Roar bow in Yi Tian’s hand was the greatest contributor.

Yi Tian recovered the Demon-Breaking Arrow, finding it undamaged and still razor-sharp, gleaming coldly. This delighted him, for its quality exceeded his expectations.

Yi Shan gazed at the Dragon Roar bow in Yi Tian’s hands with envy.

This was a supreme spiritual bow; even with enough essence stones, it could not simply be bought. Such bows were exceedingly rare—encountering one was a matter of fate.

Due to their own limitations, Yi Shan and the others could only wield ordinary spiritual bows. As for Yi Tian’s Dragon Roar, they could barely draw it, even with all their strength, unable to unleash its true power.

However, since they began cultivating the upgraded lower-grade Earth-class techniques, their internal energy had more visibly refined their bodies, and their strength grew day by day. Though not as effective as Yi Tian’s Pure Yang technique, their physiques surpassed those of their peers, even those of higher rank.

Yi Shan and Yi Li began dissecting the Armored Bear.

Soon, they gathered all valuable materials from its body, especially the bear paws, which would serve as today’s meal. From within the beast, they also found a low-grade mortal essence pellet, earthen yellow, containing the essence of earth and abundant vitality.

This particular pellet was top-quality among its grade, making it more valuable.

If it had been a beast of royal bloodline, the pellet would have been a low-grade royal essence, worth at least ten times more than a mortal pellet. However, beasts with royal bloodlines were far stronger and far more dangerous.

Even within the same rank, the nobler the bloodline, the more powerful the beast.

The Armored Bear’s essence pellet was worth forty to fifty lower-grade essence stones. In the past, Yi Tian and his companions would have been thrilled, but now, each of them possessed great wealth and paid it little mind.

They quickly pressed on.

Along the way, they encountered more than ten beasts. Unlike the Armored Bear, these lacked its extraordinary defense. Yi Feng, Yi Shan, and the others killed them one by one.

Their arrows were terrifying; once they unleashed the Divine Arrow Arts, lesser beasts stood no chance.

Some beasts hid their vital points deep within, making them hard to kill swiftly, but in the end, none escaped death by arrow.

Yi Tian never intervened, instead letting the Samsara Squad hone their skills. After slaying over a dozen beasts, Yi Feng, Yi Shan, Yi Li, Yi Kuang, and Yi Hong each carried a faint aura of bloodlust—their demeanor had changed, growing more resolute.

Their fighting spirit was awakening.

They spent more than half a month in the mountains, surviving for the first time so long within its depths.

During this period, they hunted fifty-two lesser beasts.

Yet, they had only just passed through the outer fringes and entered the interior, suggesting the sheer abundance of beasts in this region.

It must be understood: beasts do not coexist peacefully. When they meet, either they avoid each other or battle erupts.

Each beast’s territory spanned at least several miles, even dozens.

This meant beast density was not high.

Yet, Yi Tian and his companions encountered a beast every mile or two—a frequency far too high.

They slaughtered beasts in droves, crushing all opposition. Later, they only took the essence pellets, abandoning the rest.

Naturally, the commotion from their rampage attracted more beasts, but all were dispatched.

Yet, as the saying goes, climb enough mountains and you will meet a tiger.

One day, the Samsara Squad surrounded a lesser beast—a Thunder Leopard, bearing a single horn and capable of unleashing lightning attacks.

This battle was arduous.

The Thunder Leopard, able to attack from afar, was a nemesis to the squad. Its speed rivaled, even surpassed, Yi Feng and his companions using Feather Flight.

Yi Shan, Yi Li, and the others’ arrows posed little threat.

They became targets, with bolts of lightning streaking through the air. Though they dodged or shattered most, stray currents left them numb and injured.

Yi Tian, too, was targeted by the Thunder Leopard.

Yet he moved with ease; bolts of lightning grazed him, as if he were dancing gracefully, never truly harmed.

At the same time, Yi Tian unleashed the Dragon Roar. Arrows, black as thunder, shot toward the leopard.

But the beast was swift, darting like lightning, evading each arrow.

With Yi Tian distracting it, the Thunder Leopard could not truly harm the others.

This beast was at least a late-stage lesser monster.

Even a ninth-rank warrior would struggle against such a foe, especially since the Thunder Leopard’s speed surpassed even theirs.
