Volume One, Chapter Fourteen: A Single Palm Strike to Death!
As Zhou Tianhao’s words fell, dozens of thugs charged forward without hesitation. The guests present quickly stepped aside, fearful of being caught in the crossfire.
Qi Wuxie watched the rushing thugs with cold eyes. With a single swift stride, he plunged into the crowd.
Many guests shook their heads and sneered at Qi Wuxie’s action. As the saying goes, two fists are no match for four hands. No matter how skilled he was, Qi Wuxie couldn’t possibly take on so many thugs alone!
But the next moment—
A series of agonized screams suddenly erupted. The attacking hands were repelled one by one, flying backward in all directions.
Within seconds, every thug trained by the Zhou family lay scattered on the ground, wailing in pain.
No one present had time to react before Qi Wuxie had already reached Zhou Tianhao.
Shen Xuan’er’s face changed sharply. “Qi Wuxie, what are you trying to do? Don’t be foolish!”
Smack!
Qi Wuxie didn’t even glance at her; a single palm struck her, sending her flying.
“Qi Wuxie, I warn you! If you dare lay a hand on me, you will die a miserable death!”
“Ah!”
Zhou Tianhao’s expression turned horrified as he threatened, but before he could finish, Qi Wuxie unleashed a powerful kick, sending Zhou Tianhao flying and spewing blood from his mouth.
Zhou Tianhao crashed through several tables before finally stopping, his face pale, bloodied, and struggling helplessly on the floor.
“Tianhao!” Zhou Shan reacted, shouting out loud.
“Quick, someone call an ambulance!” Zhou Shan said angrily, glaring at Qi Wuxie.
“You little bastard! You dare harm Tianhao? Today I will crush you right here!”
He shouted, then turned to a man behind him.
“Sun Xu, break his limbs. I want him crippled beyond recognition!”
“Yes, Third Master!”
The man behind rose respectfully.
Sun Xu stepped forward steadily, his temples pulsating faintly, eyes resolute.
“A martial artist?”
Qi Wuxie immediately sensed the aura within Sun Xu—he had already reached the early stage of Outer Strength mastery.
“You know about martial artists. Looks like you’ve dabbled in martial arts in these past five years!” Sun Xu said coldly.
“But you should also understand the difference between a true martial artist and an ordinary person. You harmed Young Master Tianhao. Even if you beg on your knees today, you won’t be leaving here!”
Sun Xu advanced toward Qi Wuxie.
“Early stage Outer Strength, huh? You really think you’re something special!” Qi Wuxie sneered.
Sun Xu’s murderous intent surged.
“Seeking death!”
With a thunderous roar, Sun Xu charged at Qi Wuxie and threw a fierce, dominating punch aimed straight at his face.
---
The guests gasped.
Most present were prominent figures in Yun City and understood the existence of martial artists.
“This kid’s done for. No matter how good he is, he’s no match for a martial artist!”
They shook their heads.
Though Qi Wuxie displayed extraordinary strength, he was no match for a genuine martial artist.
“Shut up!” Qi Wuxie said coldly. At the exact moment Sun Xu’s fist was about to land, he swung his palm backward.
Smack!
The palm landed directly on Sun Xu’s face. His head exploded instantly, and his lifeless body collapsed.
Blood gushed out, and the hall fell into a chilling silence.
Screams erupted as several women fainted from the gruesome sight.
Zhou Shan’s face turned pale in shock; he staggered backward.
One palm killed Sun Xu?
What a joke!
“What… what level of power do you have?!” Zhou Shan asked fearfully as he retreated.
Killing Sun Xu with one palm meant Qi Wuxie had at least reached Inner Strength mastery.
In all of Yun City, as far as he knew, only a handful of martial artists had broken into Inner Strength, most of them old men.
“What do you think my strength is?” Qi Wuxie said expressionlessly, moving toward the Zhou family.
One man, pale with fear, immediately stood up to flee.
Qi Wuxie kicked a nearby chair, smashing it down with a loud crash and crushing the fleeing man.
That man was Zhou Tai—the mastermind who nearly killed him.
As Qi Wuxie advanced step by step, the Zhou family’s faces darkened with dread.
“Enough!” At that moment, a middle-aged man slowly stood up, his voice booming through the entire hall.
Qi Wuxie turned to look.
The middle-aged man had a stern face and his hands clasped behind his back.
His eyes were sharp, gleaming with an intimidating light—clearly a martial artist, and not an ordinary one.
“You’re just a lackey of the Zhou family?” Qi Wuxie said coldly.
Seeing the man stand, Zhou Shan quickly said, “Brother Tang, please intervene!”
The man called Brother Tang nodded slightly and looked at Qi Wuxie. “I am Tang Qingyuan. Do me a favor—let this matter end here.”
Qi Wuxie laughed immediately.
“Do you want me to ‘do you a favor’? Why? Because you think you’re important?”
“You little bastard, watch your tone!”
---
Behind the middle-aged man, a young man shouted loudly.
“This gentleman is Tang Qingyuan, the fourth disciple of our Grandmaster Yang Ming, and also an Inner Strength martial artist!”
“Though you’re a martial artist yourself, at best you’ve only reached the peak of Outer Strength. You’d better show some respect!”
As soon as he spoke, Tang Qingyuan seemed to straighten even further, looking down at Qi Wuxie.
“Grandmaster Yang Ming?”
Qi Wuxie was momentarily stunned. He remembered Xu Wei telling him that the strongest martial artist in Yun City was Yang Ming.
But Yang Ming’s cultivation was only at Inner Strength perfection.
When did he become a Grandmaster?
“An Inner Strength master calling himself a Grandmaster? How arrogant!” Qi Wuxie sneered.
“Watch your words!” Tang Qingyuan’s eyes suddenly shifted.
“My master has now reached the brink of Grandmaster strength and can step into Grandmaster status at any time. How dare you insult him!”
“You little bastard, I originally wanted to help you settle this because of your young age and martial talent.”
“But now you insult my master, you must die here today!”
His booming voice thundered through the hall, terrifying everyone present.
A Grandmaster must not be insulted!
Even those who were not martial artists knew this.
Qi Wuxie was so audacious, to shame Grandmaster Yang Ming. Tang Qingyuan, as his disciple, would never let him off.
With that, Tang Qingyuan strode toward Qi Wuxie, his aura swirling—he had clearly reached the early stage of Inner Strength mastery!
“I have no grudge against you and don’t want to kill you,” Qi Wuxie frowned.
“You insulted my master. You will die today!”
Tang Qingyuan roared and unleashed a punch like a thunderclap aimed at Qi Wuxie.
“Since you’re asking for death, don’t blame me.”
Qi Wuxie’s eyes darkened.
He raised his right hand and struck down with a palm.
A terrifying force poured out. Tang Qingyuan’s body froze cold, then—bang!—his head exploded, and he fell stiffly to the ground.
But before dying, he uttered two words:
“Grandmaster…”
