The Royal Bee Essence was precisely the substance created by the queen of the Bluewing Bees encountered in the mangroves of the Maya Mountains. At that time, little Skull Brian had carried away the massive beehive, and among the pieces he brought back for Roland was a section containing the Royal Bee Essence. Soon after, the queen led an army of Bluewing Bees to attack. Roland initially intended to discard the essence and flee, but Kuss reminded him that the essence might greatly benefit his younger brother’s leg ailment. Thus, Roland fought desperately to protect the Royal Bee Essence against the Bluewing Bee horde.

Ultimately, Roland subdued the Bluewing Bees and transformed them into undead under his control. Some of the essence within the hive became his possession. Over the course of nearly a year, the undead queen secreted about ten drops of Royal Bee Essence again. Although this was still short of the fifty drops needed to refine the revitalizing elixir, Roland knew that creating the spatial seed would require considerable time. He believed that by then, enough Royal Bee Essence would have accumulated.

“Doctor Tiwac, are these three drops of Royal Bee Essence enough?” Roland asked.

“It’s enough—more than enough!” Tiwac’s hands trembled as he held the crystal vial containing the essence. “Decades ago, when I first studied medicine under my master, I saw the Royal Bee Essence once. I never imagined I’d encounter it again now. Truly, this is wonderful!”

Roland could feel the doctor’s barely concealed excitement. For a physician, few things brought greater joy than witnessing such a miraculous medicine.

“Doctor Tiwac, are you ready to perform the operation now?” Roland, his thoughts fixed on his younger brother, prompted him.

“Certainly, I will begin immediately,” Tiwac replied, exhaling deeply as he gripped the crystal vial tightly and hurried toward the operating room.

Roland entrusted the essence to him because only through the special methods used by Tiwac and his team during treatment could it restore part of his brother’s vitality and extend his lifespan. Ordinary people who ingested the Royal Bee Essence directly experienced no such longevity benefits.

Outside the operating room, the Gejil couple, Maller, Victoria, and others stood waiting. Soon, Roland and Tiwac returned from the finance office. To everyone’s surprise, Tiwac clenched something tightly in his hand, frequently glancing down at his fist with a satisfied smile.

At the door, Tiwac greeted the group warmly before stepping lightly into the operating room. Puzzled by his odd behavior, those waiting exchanged confused glances before turning their attention to Roland.

“Roland, is Doctor Tiwac all right?” Gejil asked, curious why the doctor had changed so after visiting the finance office with Roland.

“Uh… yes, everything’s fine, Father. Don’t worry,” Roland said, understanding that the doctor’s joy stemmed from the Royal Bee Essence, though he chose not to mention this openly.

What followed was an anxious wait.

Through the glass of the operating room door, Roland saw nine doctors, including Tiwac, busy at work. They placed numerous medicinal herbs on several intricate devices at staggered intervals. Then, the physicians channeled pure radiance magic into these instruments. The herbs visibly depleted as a dense, pale green aura enveloped young Hawk’s body.

At one point, Tiwac carefully opened the crystal vial and poured the liquid into a small bowl. The other doctors watched in astonishment as he quickly mixed it with various bottles and jars nearby.

Roland knew that Tiwac was preparing the restorative potion to rejuvenate young Hawk’s vitality.

The operation lasted for many hours—from morning well into noon—yet the nine doctors did not break for a meal. They tirelessly treated young Hawk throughout the day, and as evening approached, the piles of herbs had long been used up.

The nine physicians pressed their hands firmly against a massive device suspended above young Hawk’s bed, pouring every ounce of their radiance magic into it. A milky white light surrounded the frail boy beneath.

Through the glass door, Roland and the others saw sweat beads forming on the foreheads and arms of the doctors, soon trailing down like small streams. Despite their exhaustion, none wavered; all were wholly dedicated to channeling their radiant magic.

“Do you think young Hawk will wake?” Roland could no longer count how many times his mother, Isa, with tear-streaked red eyes, had asked. But he, his father Gejil, and the others mechanically reassured her, “Yes, he will wake. He must.”

Though Gejil comforted Isa, his aging eyes remained fixed intently on the tiny figure on the bed. His scrutiny was more meticulous than when examining the most intricate timepieces he had ever repaired. Suddenly, his weary eyes brightened.

He noticed the motion—a faint tremble in the body that had been still since the operation began. Though subtle, it was unmistakable to his trained gaze. Pressing his face to the glass, he watched more closely.

“He’s moved! Young Hawk has really moved!” Gejil’s hoarse voice rang out.

The others hurried over, their hearts soaring with joy as they saw the boy’s body, bathed in white light, begin to stir. The once curled form slowly stretched out.

“My child, please wake quickly!” Isa sobbed uncontrollably, her voice trembling with desperate hope.

The radiant magic continued its healing for another fifteen minutes before gradually dimming. The nine doctors finally withdrew their hands from the device and wiped their faces vigorously. Though exhaustion marked their features, their eyes shone with exhilaration—they had saved the patient’s life.

For physicians, nothing surpassed the fulfillment of pulling a critically ill patient back from the brink of death. Their fatigue was eased by the triumph of success.

As the operating room door swung open, the waiting crowd swarmed around the emerging doctors.

“How did it go?”

“Doctor Tiwac, was the surgery successful?”

“Has young Hawk awakened?”

Questions flew like rapid-fire, causing the doctors to smile wryly. At last, Tiwac stepped forward and said, “Everyone, the surgery went very well. The patient has been saved. But now, do not disturb him—let him rest peacefully. Roland, the substance you gave me was very effective. I estimate that your brother should live for at least seven more years!”
